With over 60 golfers and great weather, the Gin Gin Vet’s Open was a huge success. Thanks to the tireless efforts of Vet’s President, Scott Cooper and all his helpers.
Scott’s wife Simone did an amazing job of securing so many great prizes including golf bags for the winners of each of the 3 divisions, as well as for raffle prizes.
A big contingent of players came from Hervey Bay. We had some golfers from as far away as Maryborough and Gladstone as well as one from the Warburton Golf Club. The golfers from Gladstone had not played Gin Gin before and mentioned that they were very impressed with the course. The course as always proved challenging with only 3 golfers breaking their handicaps.
